Vintage Old Mexico Art Pottery Tea Pot with tea cups and spikes on the pot for storing the cups. Made from a red clay with primitive hand painted floral pattern. Set of 6 mugs and one pot with lid as shown.
The vintage tea pot measures approx. 7" tall to pot opening, 8 1/2" tall with lid, 3 1/2" diameter opening popular and approx. 9 1/2" wide from spout to handle (holds approx. 1.5 quarts). The mugs measure approx. 2 3/4' tall, 4'' wide including the handle with a 2 1/2" diameter opening, holding approx. 8 ounces. The Tea pot and mugs are made from a terra cotta clay, hand painted on the outside in a bright colorful floral pattern. There is a glaze over the outside and inside for cleaning and to help hold the fluids.
The Mexican clay pot and mugs are in good stable condition with some vintage wear. No major breaks or chips but some areas where the glaze and paint have flaked off. While the lid does fit, but due to the primitive handmade style it has to be turned to fit properly. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE TEN PHOTOS FOR STYLE AND CONDITION.
