The colors in this painting are perfect -- perfectly balanced!

I just LOVE the way the dark colors and wonderful shape of the seahorse balances against the warm colors of the sea and bits of coral!

And I was happy to leave bits of the process of doing this painting in the finished popular painting.

I wanted this painting to POP out but be perfectly calm and balanced at the same time.

One day, by the edge of the beach with the ocean very calm, I saw a little seahorse and was struck by the gentle sensitivity in its face and eyes -- a living being! I never forgot that moment.
