This looks like a handmade piece. It has hammering all over except the little strip when the stone is.

It is unmarked for silver content. I used acid testing to determine that it is sterling silver. See pictures of the test. It turned a bright red which indicates sterling. Nickel would have turned dark green or black. Guaranteed sterling.
