Product code: Vintage Christmas Card Holder Santa pulled by Reindeer 1940? Very clean for popular age
Santa is being pulled by 2 reindeer in the front with a metal coil spring between them to hold cards. Under the area for the cards is painted neatly “MERRY X'MAS” in red and trimmed with perfect ribbon and holly. Santa is sitting in his sleigh with a small bag with his arm in the air as if to wave. He is dressed in red holding good color. The reindeer in the front have a gold leaf type of paint accenting their antlers and hooves. They also have painted on halters across their chests. The paint is wonderful on this item no major chipping if any I see. The only possible damage that I see is where the reindeer are mounted as if flying. There seems to be either the reindeer were mounted this popular way or a repair was done. Plus a very good repair was made to the rear legs of reindeer that is not real noticeable.
