Inspired by the natural world and history, Tenmoku is a type of Japanese pottery with the shapes being simple or bold. The emphasis is on the ceramic glaze where a number of different effects can be produced. This abstract sculptural platter that sits on three legs has a base glaze of Tenmoku with splatters of a glaze called Million Dollar. The result was platinum speckles.
