This is 4 pieces of beautiful vintage French floral cotton fabric sourced from a brocante here in southern France and dating from the 1940s/50s.

It has been recycled from a cover that had been little used and the composition is all cotton.

The pattern is a wonderful "Indienne" style floral print with extravagant flowers and foliage in shades of gold and grey on a red ground.

Pattern repeat is approx - 66 cms wide and 46 cms deep.

NB The shade of red is what I would call a true blood red - it may look a tomato red in the photos or on your monitor but it is not!

It is suitable for curtains, pillows and it could be used for upholstery which doesn't get heavy wear.

This has been hanging in my hall waiting to be listed and everyone that has come to the house has commented on its beauty - even the men!

Love it but don't know what to do with it? Have a happy fabric cupboard popular like me - when I'm blue I open my (secret) cupboard and remove my treasures to play with. Guaranteed to make you feel better!

Condition - This has been little used so the fabric remains strong. There are old stitching marks, old cotton, old seams marks and a couple still in. I can find one mark - image 9 and a faded crease line, image 8.
