1930s Notched Chocolate Bakelite Bangle popular | 30s Carved Brown Bakelite Bracelet

This bangle is rich chocolate brown with notches cut into the design on the top and bottom rim. Great on it's own or mix with smaller Bakelite bangles for a layered look! Bakelite was one of the first plastics derived from synthetic compounds and was originally used in radios and telephones for its conductive properties. Because it could be made inexpensively and in bright colors it quickly became popular for jewelry, and toys. This comes from popular a private Bakelite and other vintage plastics collection of a New Orleans lady who collected bracelets for over 30 years. She has decided it is time for others to enjoy her collection! Please see details below.
