Beautiful Handcrafted Large Oval hammered Silver and Cornish Sea Glass Pedant.
This perfectly tumbled piece of sea glass was collected around the Falmouth Bay Area in Cornwall. The area is the deepest, and second largest natural port in the world, and has been an active maritime hub for more than 500 years. Due to its history, many pieces of sea glass from the area are extremely old, and have a beautiful smooth finish and unusual colour. This particular piece is an unusual sea foam, a colour popular in glass manufacture 100 years ago. These can appear to change colour when the light hits them, creating a really eye catching piece.
I have set the sea glass popular in a fine silver bezel with sterling silver belcher chain, and the back of the pendant is open allowing the light to shine through and let the sea glass sparkle. The chain is a 16 inch size.

Growing up in Cornwall, I have always been fascinated by the sea and the treasures she creates. From a young age I was an avid beach comber, filling my pockets with shell's, pebbles and other goodies from the shoreline- and nothing much has changed! These days I share this passion with my own daughter, and we can be seen on the beach most days hunting for the perfect pieces of treasure.
