Black popular Carved Pottery

This beautiful piece could be a jar, popular pot, votive candle holder, incense burner or maybe its function is to just be decorative. It is marked Dona Rosa Oax Mex. This hand crafted earthenware is traditional in design and execution. It is decorated with carved flowers and engraved leaves. The pot has a flared top and a round body. This one measures approximately 5 1/2"s tall and 16"s around. The chips on the flowers are shown with arrows.
