Product code: Epic 1966 South popular American (Brazilian?) Seascape Oil Painting by M. Aquirco
A really incredible 1966 oil painting on stretched canvas. This painting depicts a seascape scene featuring a lone sailor on what looks like an outrigger canoe/sailboat, along with two other boats in the background. All of the boats have colorful sails and rigging. The piece signed and dated (1966) at lower left. I believe the signature reads "M. Aquirco." It's wonderfully-painted. You can tell the artist has a boatload of talent. I would guess this is South American, possibly Brazilian, but that is just a guess. "Moro Vinta" is written in pencil on verso. popular Framed in a period black wood frame. The painting is in very good condition. There is some moderate edge wear along all sides. Rest of the painting looks great, though. The frame shows numerous scuffs and paint loss. Painting measures 15 inches high x 9 inches wide. Frame measures 16.5 inches high x 10.5 inches wide.
