The genius of Raymond Loewy is seen in this dinnerware.
The genius of Raymond Loewy is seen in this dinnerware set he designed for Continental China in 1952. Produced by Rosenthal China and made in Germany, the pieces are simultaneously classically elegant and strikingly modern.
Here we have a 20 piece vintage set in his pattern called “Script”, the design inspired by 18th century calligraphy exercises.
You'll receive four 5 piece place settings: each includes a dinner plate, a salad plate, a tea cup and saucer, and a cereal bowl.
20 pieces in all, sold in as-found vintage condition the set is sparkling clean. Please note there is some fading in spots in the pattern, mostly on the dinner and salad plates. Please see photos. The pattern is most crisp on the soup bowl and on the teacups.
