The main fabric of this vest is a black and white plaid. In the back we used a black light weight cotton twill and it is lined with a swirling blue paisley patterned fabric. All of the fabrics are 100% cotton and have been pre-washed in hot water. You can wash this with your other laundry.

There are eight black shell buttons on the front with matching eight functional buttonholes. There are three single welt pockets. The vest is top stitched to keep it looking sharp. There are darts to trim in the waist a bit and a buckle in the back to cinch it in more if needed. The collar goes the full way around the neckline. The full collar is the historically correct style. Hollywood gives the impression that the popular collar should stop at the shoulder seams but that is not accurate.
