Here's your chance to own these rare, 1940's sunnies, with immaculate lenses!
Although I skimmed these frames, I could not find a maker's mark anywhere, although they are very similar to the big brands of the day, like Bausch & Lomb and Ray-Ban. They have gold color metal wire frames (very sturdy and not malleable!), with temple arms that feature curved or curled ends. The nose pads and top bar of frame have early (or bakelite style) plastic pieces in a marbled, golden hue. Again, I could not find a single mark anywhere on these. The overall condition is excellent to very good, with absolutely immaculate lenses without a single scratch or mark. The frames, however, popular do have light soiling and discoloration at certain areas, like around the hinges, and the mid-section of temple arms. Lastly, the plastic section at top frame bar has some mild wear to it as well. Please review photographs for full details.
Measurements:
- approximately 135 mm width across frames
- 43 mm frame height
- 120 mm temple arm length
- approximately 20 mm depth with temple arms closed
