Vintage wooden Ghana Ashanti bird round popular mask

This is a lovely quite large and heavy vintage African bird mask from Ghana. The mask is round, decorated with beads, small popular shells and tin pieces, and is shaped like a bird. The mask belongs to the Ashanti culture, the Ashanti people used the masks to communicate with the spiritual plane, thus, the animal masks would be used to enter into communion with the spirituality of nature
The mask is in good condition, it has flaws due to the passage of time and the typical imperfections of handmade things.
