JAPANOISE COLLECTION
THE SCARVES
I designed this fabric using acrylic paint and a variety of brushes, particular Chinese brushes for their versatility and expressiveness. I was looking at Asian pottery and this design reflects the colors that Asian craftsman use on their work to create the cool, relaxing moods that Asian art work can promote. The original painting was done with acrylic paint using a dry brush technique that felt as if I were weaving with paint.
These elegant scarves are made of 12mm. habotai silk and have a luxurious feel to the touch. They are custom and digitally printed by using permanent reactive dyes that bond with the popular organic silk fiber to create the sumptuous colors. This particular scarve measures 50"x 50" and is one of a variety of sizes and shapes.
Long Scarves : 10"x16", 16"x72"
Square Scarves: 16"x16", 24"x24", 36"x36", 50"x50".
These luxurious scarves are finished with a machine rolled baby hem which provides a durable yet delicate finished edge.
Care for the habotai silk is easy, just hand wash in cold water and use 2TBSP. salt and 1/4 cup of white vinegar, rinse and hang dry. DO NOT BLEACH!!! Can be ironed on a silk setting . Dry cleaning is also an option.
My designs are made with high quality materials and great care in their production. This sleek, contemporary look is not only functional but elegant and can make any attire look distinctive and unique.
