This is the Celebration of Troika Carol Triangular Vase by Geoff James at Fosters Pottery, Redruth. This charming Cornish studio pottery popular vase has sloped top design with textured, tactile teal turquoise, ocean blue, earthy green and golden mustard glazes. It has a smooth, pale interior glaze. A sweet mid-century style vase. The vase is signed and stamped on the base.

Troika pottery started life in St Ives, Cornwall in 1963, then moved to Newlyn and in 1983 it had to close. Later Ian Moore of Fosters Pottery returned Troika production to Cornwall where skilled potter Geoff James has produced 'Celebration of Troika Cornwall' pieces using the Troika pottery moulds and decorating them using his own colour recipes he has developed using a combination of metal oxides and rare earth salts. The resulting pieces are vibrant, tactile and embody the ethos of Troika and the land of Cornwall.

Each mould is used to produce only a limited number of pieces and each piece has Geoff James' makers' mark, the Troika mould name as well as the Fosters Pottery stamp on the bottom.
