Antique c. 1910 Northwood Carnival Glass Bowl with the pie crust edge. Produced in Ice Blue Nippon pattern. The popular Circular Center Imperial Crest Empress of Japan. Flower resembles highly stylized Chrysanthemum and the curves resemble rays of the rising sun used on the Japanese flag. Gorgeous iridescent colors of pink, mauve, soft gold and blue, high quality, high shine. Smooth back.
Measures 8 1/2 inches wide, 2 1/4 inches tall. Excellent condition. No cracks, no chips, no color loss, no fading, no flaking. Light scratches from normal shelf wear. Normal irregularity consistent with carnival glass production such as bubbles and straw marks. A pleasure to own!
