Lighted Miller Beer Sign, Vintage Tavern Display - This is a rare, vintage and classic lighted display for Miller Genuine Draft beer and a perfect addition to any basement bar, mancave, or tavern popular decor. Dated 1986, this was an era when Miller Brewery launched its "Genuine Draft" line of beer and the advertising toys to go with it. This piece is free-standing, vertical panes of lucite lighted from inside a brass covered base below to hi-light the Miller logo and MGD brand (sandwiched within the panes). The on-off button is on the rear of the base and it has a 6 ft lamp cord. It stands 12 inches high, the base is 11 inches and 4 inches deep, and the lucite screen is 8x10 inches. It weighs 2lb 9oz. (In the photos, the camera angle makes the screen appear trapezoidal, but it is really a rectangle.)
This piece really calls out to any sports fan, collector of bar signage, or one who favors the Miller brand. There are not many lighted bar signs of this condition and era as it is, but this one is really rare, in almost new condition, but does have a few hairline scratches from handling and storage not that noticeable. Its home mancave doesnt exist anymore, but it still has great appeal and would make a great gift for any of the holiday occasions coming up this spring...Graduations, Birthdays and Father's Day top the list.
Its price is set at $125 which is about the median price of what few similar signs I could find, and this includes free shipping. And since we are now in the era of emerging craft breweries, a sign like this to support our nation's beer heritage is perfect ...ein prosit !
