Summer Woodland Elf popular OOAK Complete Outfit -- Fits Kaye Wiggs MSD Dolls on MeiMei and Abby Bodies

This one of a kind Summer Woodland Elf costume will be a whimsical addition to your doll's wardrobe -- especially if you are a lover of fantasy. It is modeled on a Kaye Wiggs MSD human Missy on an Abby body, but fits the MeiMei body as well (the pants will be slightly longer on the MeiMei body). The costume is complete from head to toe. The base of the outfit consists of a short-sleeved shirt and pants. The short-sleeved shirt is sewn with a green knit fabric and closes in the back with metal snaps. It has a v-neck opening with hand-set metal eyelets. To protect your doll's resin, a protective piece of fabric was ironed to the back side of the v-neck opening to prevent the eyelets from scratching your doll. By design, the neckline, sleeves, and hemline are left raw. The pants are made from a beige knit fabric. Prior to sewing, the fabric was transformed with a decorative technique where folds were pinned, stitched, and pressed into the fabric. This painstaking process requires all steps to be individually completed before moving onto the next fold, so it took quite a bit of time and many trips back and forth between the sewing machine and ironing board to achieve this look. It was worth it for the depth and interest it adds to the fabric. The pants have an elastic waist. Green cuffs peek from beneath the main fabric for added depth and color. The knit fabric was all pre-washed to help prevent dye transfer to your doll's resin and all internal seams are professionally finished with a serger for neatness and durability.

The shirt is topped with a "leaf" vest comprised of four polyester felt leaves in dark brown. The veins of the leaves were sewn with a decorative triple-top-stitch and then shaded with an alcohol-based artist marker. The vest closes at the front with hand-sewn metal snaps and has a small, decorative button. The leaves of the summer-green, polyester felt hooded cape are made in the same fashion with triple top-stitched veins shaded with alcohol-based artist markers. The hood is top-stitched along the seams for neatness and durability, and it fastens with a decorative silver clasp.

A utility cincher tops off the outfit. This faux-leather cincher laces up through hand-set metal eyelets, and is top-stitched to give it a decorative finish. It features 2 hanging D-rings for all of your doll's woodland treasures.

Boots add the finishing touch to this ensemble. The pointed boots are made from green polyester felt with an embossed felt sole. They're decorated with feathers and beads. The felt was not pre-washed, but the only felt pieces that directly touch the doll's resin are the boots. I left the outfits on my dolls for over a week to test color fastness and there was no evidence of dye transfer. That being said, it is never a good idea to leave dark colors on dolls for long periods of time.

All items were handmade in my smoke-free, dog-friendly home. As I stated, this is a one-of-a-kind creation and will not be replicated. I may make another version of the Summer Woodland Elf at a later date, but will choose different fabrics and color combinations if I do so.

This outfit was designed to fit Kaye Wiggs MSD dolls (approximately 17"-18") on the Abby and MeiMei bodies, which are collectable dolls intended for adults.
