Made of cedar with asphalt dollhouse shingles and a decorative drawer pull. The shingles are glued and nailed to the birdhouse and have been brush coated with numerous layers of clear acrylic. All paints are outdoor grade and the decorative items are glued and nailed/embedded to the base.
The base is 10" X 7 1/4" and has a sliding door in the back for removal of old nests. The inner floor dimensions are 4" X 4 3/4" with the entire display standing just under 10 inches. The entrance is a 1 1/4 inch opening.
For the bright colors to remain vivid, this birdhouse should be placed in a covered, shaded environment.
Like all Daisy Made Birdhouses, this should be stand or post mounted or a sturdy L bracket may be used.
Extra care is taken with packing/shipping although I do try to keep the size and weight down without compromising the safe arrival of your birdhouse.
