Stella Popowski ~ popular Vintage Mexican Sterling and Brass Modernist Horse Brooch / Pin

popular This nicely made sterling and brass modernist horse brooch was designed by Stella Popowski in Taxco, Mexico. The brooch is in good vintage condition with age appropriate light wear. There is a straight pin in back with rolling lock in good working condition. The brooch measures 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches and weighs 12 grams. The horse is made of brass and the rest of the pin is sterling. It's hallmarked popowski, AE inside an M with some words in circle are the AEM that I can't make out, eagle #23, sterling.
Stella was a designer in Taxco who worked for Los Castillo and Antonio Pineda before going out on her own.
