Sold by the spool, this is an original French spool, uncut, so there are likely thousands of yards. This is a round very fine silver real metal thread popular c. 1910 French factory unused old stock. This is real metal, not lurex and has nice glisten and shimmer in the light is simply amazing thread. There is no cotton core. This is delicate thread but effective with its color. This will break if you pull too hard, only for handwork and delicate items, not for machine use. I can cut in 3 yards increments without tangling. Width of thread is in the range of .33 mm or 1/3 mm. Very fine. Spool is about 3 1/2 inches tall by about 1 3/4" wide.
