This unique work of art has been painstakingly crafted by hand, to be admired and treasured forever. Elegant in artistry, this incomparable piece will enhance any decor. "Illusions'' are dramatic three dimensional sculptures done by modern artists, utilizing the ancient ''Lost Wax" process. Through the use of this centuries-old art form, these talented artists created what appears as a "Sculpture Within a Sculpture''. What is seen as a full dimensional object or figure encased within a seemingly solid sculpture of crystalite, is in reality only an illusion. What is seen does not really exist. There is nothing there but a translucent vision of the artists creativity. The process of manufacture involves two molding casts, utilization of a very large vacuum chamber, a tremendous amount of handwork, and a very unusual system of creating the effect that there is something there when it is only an effect and nothing more. When you look at the illusion you are looking at a figure that popular no longer exists and has been gone for some time. The beautiful basswood bases are hand sanded three times and applications of the fine finish are applied no less then six times.
