This is a true hand made solid copper pot that was made a long time ago. It is at least 150 years old from just what I know and is older even. You can tell a true hand forged soft metal pot popular by the rings imbedded in the bottom of the pot. These was made by the growth rings of the tree stump it was shaped with. Even the handles are completely hand made down to the rivets holding them on. A true antique hand made copper pot will not have a seam anywhere in it for it was made with a single lump of copper. They didn't have sheet metal or rolls back then it was raw copper and beat flat with a hammer or other blunt object. This is a authentic piece and a very nice example of what the real deal looks like and is like. It is hard to part with but that is why I sell things like this,so people can have something real and not like others I see that are not what they are said to be. 10.5 across 3 deep.
