Product code: 1940s popular Rare
This is a gorgeous Betsy jug from Blue Ridge Southern Potteries. This is a "tulip" Betsy, as her bonnet and dress are trimmed with them. Betsy is from the 1940's and stands 8 1/2" at her tallest point. She has sideways glancing eyes and is holding flowers in each hand. Betsy's colors are still very vibrant and she has no cracks or chips on her. Has stain around lip and a stain on the inside bottom. These jugs are very difficult to find and are often not from Blue Ridge, as they aren't marked on the bottom. This jug is marked from the pottery company, as seen in the photos. This pottery mark is shorter than most popular I have seen, and just lists the name of the pottery company as Blue Ridge, not Blue Ridge Southern Potteries.#BRCD1-T2.
