Primitive 1800s Very Rare safety hook (see photos 3 & 4). Early Wooden Sleigh Harness chain, logging chain. All Hand Forged Blacksmith Made Hook with Chain. Found in an early barn in Northern Vermont, 1 of a kind with very strong solid weight. No Rusting at all and ready to use for your wish, a beauty. This would have been used to pull the Maple Sugar Sap and Logging Sleigh with oxen or horses. At some point in its life a link broke and was replaced, as found. Very Rare safety hook style. These are getting harder to find.

This was made very well back in the day, strong and solidly made. All rust has been professionally removed with No chemicals or sandblasting, professionally cleaned and coated with linseed oil to help prevent rusting a beauty. We do not paint over the rust to hide it, and we do not sell rusty iron.
