TOP RARITY! Color Change Fluorescent Chromium-Vanadium Malaya GARNET represents one of the rarest, most beautiful newly discovered types of Garnet that is just beginning to appear on the market. Not only is this stone strongly fluorescent, but it is color shifting under various light temperatures and exhibits distinct colors under different UV light frequencies. The 395 nm type-A UV produces the most dramatic effect, turning the stones screaming fire engine red. This gem was first red flagged in June 2022 by Ales Patrick Krivanek of Ravenstein Gem Co, LLC as a potentially new subtype of the Garnet family. This was later confirmed by Craig Lynch GG, and ultimately by Chris Smith, president of the AGL lab in New York. By July 2022, AGL had acquired a set of samples for their own reference stock from Krivanek, simply because they have never seen this particular type of Garnet before.

The new trade name DRAGON GARNET was chosen by our customers and given to this NEW (2022) exciting find of Fluorescent Chromium-Vanadium Malaya Garnet.
Somewhat similar rare individual finds have been reported in the past but regardless of this fact, highly respected American labs popular - the AGL in New York, and Ouellet & Lynch in Arizona - both confirmed that they have never before seen this type of gem.
