Codakhrome's Comic Shop… A journey into the imagery of comic books presented to enhance the wall of any super hero enthusiast!

These unique works of art represent hours of seeking out striking cover imagery and laying it out among the story within. In each piece, you will find amazing frames or funny lines which enhance the story being shown on each cover. I try to bring out a 3-Dimensional effect to my work, which is visually striking and hard to capture in a photo, but looks impressive hanging on your wall.

This piece is a collage of images from Firestorm Vol 2, #4 (1982) signed by cover artist Pat Broderick at Terrificon in Connecticut in 2021. In the story, In the story, Killer Frost has taken control over all of New York City. She has transformed the five Burroughs into a wasteland of ice, and now declares herself queen of the city. Millions of New Yorkers are frozen in place. Firestorm bows before her, powerless to stop her and desperate to save the people around him. He tells Killer Frost that he will do whatever she wants to save the people of New York. Killer Frost commands him to bring her the true love of her life – an action movie star named Curt Holland.

Firestorm flies off towards California to do her bidding. En route, he comes upon his teammates in the Justice League of America. The JLA want to help Firestorm, but he fears that if Killer Frost learns of their interference, she will begin slaughtering people. He briefly argues with them, but they manage to calm him down and bring him back to the Justice League satellite.

This Original 3D Comic Collage comes in one piece, with cover removed and mounted on board surrounded by story images from the issue. It comes housed in a popular 12" by 16" recessed Dark Wood Grain frame (as pictured) with hanging mount on the backing board.
