The beautiful blue and purple carved soapstone candlestick holders are.
The beautiful blue and purple carved soapstone candlestick holders are in great to excellent condition. These particular soapstone candleholders have a highly detailed world-map theme. The distressed white appearance on these gorgeous candleholders gives the impression of clouds over the Earth. The violet purple color represents the land. The cloudy blue gives the impression of water and sky. Also, each soap stone candle holder has a very unique one-off appearance indicating they were not made by a machine. In addition, the world-map theme is continuous around the sides of each twisted spiral column and on the underside of the top ledge. To keep the decoration close in its scale along with the tiny, yet very discernible, markings around the entirety of each candlestick column took a very steady hand and an incredibly talented eye.
While there are no discernible markings for identifying the particular maker of these gorgeous candlestick holders, each candleholder has the outline of a sticker on the bottom. Similar soapstone candlestick holders that have the stickers intact indicate that they were made in Kenya. Also, it is important to point out that while the world-map is not comprehensive in that it mentions every nation, the ones that are listed date after 1991. Furthermore, countries formed in the mid-1990's are not mentioned. Hence, these particular carved soapstone candleholders were most likely made in the early 1990's.
There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repair marks on these beautiful blue and purple candlestick holders. There are some slight vintage wear, age, and rub marks on these gorgeous candleholders - mainly in the form of marks or wear on the outer edges and bottom. They are very hard to notice unless each candleholder is pulled up close and inspected - even then the tiny places might need to be pointed out. The cups on each candlestick holder are very clean and it does not appear that they have ever been used.
The decorative possibilities for these beautiful blue and purple carved soapstone candleholders are many. The entryway or living area would be enhanced by the addition of these highly detailed world-map theme candlestick holders. Also, the open collectibles' shelf or bookcase would welcome these gorgeous candle holders for their unique overall appearance. In addition, the smaller size of these beautiful candlestick holders allows them to work perfectly in smaller areas such as a kitchen or bathroom countertop.
The collector will appreciate these beautiful blue and purple carved soapstone candleholders for their great to excellent condition, rare world-map theme, highly detailed accents, and unique overall appearance.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.
***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.
***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.
***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and popular handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.
***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.
***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.
***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.
***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.
***The year of production or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.
***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.
***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.
***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
