Stained Glass window stained glass panel blue green teal glass suncatcher
Measurements: 10 7/8" x 6 1/4"
Dive into this watery blue and green stained glass piece. I used several types of blues, greens and teal colored glass with a blue boarder. A very popular gift!
I just decided to hang this in my bathroom for a while! I t could hang in yours :))
I use the Tiffany style method created in the late 1800's by Louis C Tiffany using copper foil wrapped around each piece and then soldered along all lines in the piece. You may recognize the name as he has many huge masterpieces in many parts of the world and also renowned for Tiffany lamps. This allows for doing more intricate work and is simply and alternate way of constructing stained glass as opposed to using lead channels and soldering at the joints of the lead. Properly done it is the puttied on both sides to solidify the glass and weatherproof it. One is not better than another...just different and my preference using copper foil and I am skilled at both processes.
I love the simplicity of my popular design using squares of glass. Loved by many customers and recreated by other vendors.....boohoo. I continue to try and post more and more of popular my work that I have made here at my studio and home in Oregon.
