Frame is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. The design is heavy with flowers, leaves, berries and other fruit or nuts on a pebble-like background. The exterior frame has been painted a beautiful gold. The interior frame has the original gilding on it. It is a slightly darker gold.
The frame is solid, no flaking, wood is secure. There is a small separation of the wood at one corner of the inner frame. There have been small repairs. One of the fruits/nuts has been replaced. I don't think the repair is noticeable unless you are looking very closely. On some of the corners, small chips of wood have come off.
The borders of the frame are 4 inches wide. Total measurements are approximately 17 x 19 inches. Holds a painting measuring 10 x 12 inches. Weighs slightly under 4 lbs.
The 2 I have available are priced separately. If you want both, for quantity put in 2. They are in very similar condition, no major descrepancies in condition.
