Colorful cropped poncho handwoven in variegated cotton yarn and finished popular with twisted fringe. Ponchette, three season fashion statement.

Handwoven on my larger rigid heddle loom, I took some design liberty with this one-of-a-kind piece. The front section is approximately six inches wider than the back creating a neckline with additional drape and multiple ways to fashion the neckline. The sides have been left open, but a few fringes could be tied on either side if desired.

One size fits most, my mannequin (Johanna) is a medium. The shoulder seams were joined by hand with a mattress popular stitch which creates a flat join. To provide further reinforcement hem tape was machine stitched along the seam on the inside to protect from stress on the neck opening.

The shawl pin in several of the photos is NOT included in the listing and was used simply to show various ways to fashion the neckline, using your own jewelry.

Hand wash or machine wash on delicate. Lay flat to dry. May be machine dried on delicate to damp dry and then laid flat to finish drying. Warm iron as needed.
