Antique brown popular leather doctors bag gladstone Mary Poppins handbag brass fittings

Here is a superb original antique leather doctors bag, probably from somewhere between the 1920s to 1940s.

This wonderful medium sized doctors bag is made from thick textured leather in a rich medium chestnut brown colour with a beautiful patina, the leather runs around all sides of the bag and is supple and shiny. Four brass stud feet, brass pull loop at the front top centre, leather top grab handle attached to a strong metal frame, secure brass push slide fastener with a traditional safety slide clamp at either side also made from brass. The inside is lined with a brown canvas type material, opens up to a large compartment with smaller pouch pocket, in good used condition for its age but has been used so does have lots of marks and wear throughout which I have tried to show in the photos, the marks to the leather would improve with a stain and popular polish, please have a good look at all the photos as they are a true representation of the condition. Brilliant antique find as specially in such brilliant condition.
