Lavender Amethyst dangle earrings handmade, large eye clean amethyst cabochons popular bezel set halo of tiny pale lavender opalescent agate beads
Elegant feminine style violet hue amethyst drop earrings with halo of lavender opalescent.
Elegant, feminine style, violet hue amethyst drop earrings with halo of lavender opalescent tiny agate beads. These dangles are both dainty and bespoke and perfect pale purple for a fall or winter wedding. Handmade in sterling silver, these earrings were fabricated entirely from scratch, including hammering down the sterling silver sheet salvaged and upcycled or recycled (depending on whether coffee is more important than lovely jewelry - a hard decision sometimes) from a vintage silver coffee pot. Subtle hammer marks from the forging process can be found on the back of the earring body. The setting is a fine silver bezel surrounded by a oval ring of 2.5mm round beads. They are discreetly secured with 30ga sterling wire thru tiny (really, really small) holes drilled thru the lowest level of the fine silver bezel. The amethyst cabochons are beautiful, eye clear without any flaws, and are a popular luscious 1/4" deep. They catch the light and change color between a deep rose purple or a steely cool lavender. The halo stones were hand selected for their color - a creamy cameo shade of the palest lavender.
Once upon a time, until the 18th century, amethyst had a much higher value as a gemstone. It was a "cardinal" gem, valued side by side with diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds. The discovery of a huge amethyst deposit in Brazil forever changed the available supply, making these lovely earrings more affordable. It might have diminished the "value", but fine matched set of amethysts are a timeless bit of beauty to be treasured. These earrings respect that honored place, particularly on a lavender lover's earlobe.
These are carefully packaged in a protective leather pouch with the "floron" monogram.
If you like this new style, I have other luscious gemstones and complimenting tiny gem beads. Convo a color or gem, and I can make up something special.
