This is a hand forged or hammered set of a ladle and a strainer or skimmer. The age of these items are unknown, as they could be as old at circa 1820's or as young at circa 1950's. While you might normally see these kinds of utensils in copper, these popular appear to be brass, as their color is more of an orange/yellow tint.
The hammered designs on the handle of the spoon is a pattern of semi circles made of small dashes and small empty circles. The skimmer has a design of small semi circles and dots. There are irregularities in the patterns as is expected with hand made metal work. See photos for the condition.
The strainer measures 16" long with a width of 5" at the strainer. The ladle measures 16" long, with 3.5" wide by 1.75" deep spoon.
