After the chess pieces have been carved they are subject to Buff Polish so as to give the set a brighter and polished look.

The African Padauk commonly known as Bud Rosewood amongst Chess Enthusiasts, is an exotic wood and is very expensive. We make sure that all our timber is sourced from Reputed suppliers and exporters of Africa and ensure that we use only government authorized timber.

All the pieces are weighted with individual metal studs inserted at the bottom to make them ideal for good balance and speed play.
