DESCRIPTION:
This is a nice vintage hen on a nest tureen. The item is made in two parts and the chicken lifts off of the nest below. The item is part of an estate liquidation. This item is not marked by a maker. The item looks to be made of ceramic pottery. The item is made with the bottom part with a glossy glaze and the upper part is painted (see photos). This item measures in total about 8 inches high, it is about 7 inches wide from side to side and it is about 9.25 inches from the front end to the back side. The item has some area that looks like casting flaw on the back side (photo #3), some black paint in odd spots, some dust and some other wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a collectible hen on a nest to add to your collection.
