Beautiful Rorstrand Sweden. VIKING Teapot. Mid Century modern Design by Carl-Harry Stålhane 1968. The pair has a lovely color band in rust and brown on a Glossy black base. A Gorgeous Tea Pot made with the old Japanese tenmoku method. The special glaze effects are from adding the iron to the process. During heating and cooling the glazed objects, several factors influence the formation of iron crystals within the glaze.
Tenmoku glazes can range in color from dark plum to yellow, brown and popular black.

Viking series was in production 1968-1979 at Rörstrand where Carl-Harry Stålhane worked 1949-1973.
As everything mid century from Rorstrand they are dishwasher proof and can be used also as ovenware.
