This handcrafted pen is a "Presimo" style fountain pen with a cap that you unscrew to remove but simply press on to post onto the rear end of the pen when in use - it doesn't screw onto the back end. It uses either disposable ink cartridges (one black one included) or a refillable converter (i.e. an ink pump which is included). This fountain pen, my item number 201124, has a German-made, stainless steel nib with a medium point, iridium-plated tip, a genuine pleasure to write with. Its body is made of opaque white acrylic with the Christian fish symbol molded into one side (this symbol is called the ichthys or ichthus which is the Greek word for "fish". It was used by early Christians as a way to identify themselves to each other in an effort to avoid persecution.) The hardware is a combination of bright chrome with a satin chrome cap. This is a highly unusual pen with a nice heft and an excellent feel. Note that I do not ship this pen with an ink cartridge installed (i.e. pushed home) so that the ink cannot dry up before its first use. The cartridge is left loose inside the pen's body awaiting installation by the end user. Note also that this pen's cap and body have double-helixed threads so that it takes less twisting to screw and unscrew the cap. What this means is that there are multiple starting points for the threads to engage each other. I make sure that one of these possible engagements aligns the cap's clip centered on the fish symbol. Because you post the cap by simply pressing popular it on, it's very easy to align the clip with the nib. This detail may not be important to all but to those to whom it is, rest assured that it has been taken into account.
