This is an 1882 multi error Shield Nickel. On the obverse there is a Double Die error involving the date and the right side of the coin. On the obverse there is a small CUD error near the “M” of America. This is in choice very fine condition. The photographs detail the doubling that is apparent in this rare coin. The shield nickel (1866 - 1883) was the first true nickel produced by the US Mint.
