​USS Nevada (SSBN-733) is the 4th ship to be named after the state Nevada.

Nevada's crew was awarded the Battle Efficiency Award (Battle "E") in both 2005 and 2006. This award is given to the best submarine squadron performance in tactical readiness and nuclear reactor safety.

The USS Nevada was also awarded the Omaha Trophy in 2019. The Blue and Gold crews received the trophy for their high standards of performance in the command's mission areas.



​Adam Koltz is a marine artist and 20 year Navy veteran aboard several classes of ships, including merchant vessels. Adam's attention to detail stems from his intimate knowledge of ships and his passion for accuracy. His understanding of the interaction of ships with the natural forces of wind and water gives his pictures life and vitality. Adam uses pen and ink, as well as watercolor, and depicts the ship or boat on a chart with historical or current significance.
