An insanely cool OOAK vintage 2002 belt buckle by Mobtown, carried by the famous punk / goth shop The Alley in Chicago.

My experience wearing this buckle for 20 years is people either are creeped out by it or totally love it. I'm in the last group obvs!

Mobtown buckles occasionally surface for resale but not that often — people understandably hang on to them — and I've never seen this one anywhere else irl or online.

In other words, you won't see it on a zillion other people, like other buckles.

The buckle is in black & white — a classic combo that goes with everything and has tons of oomph impact.

The image is of a man's face with extensive all over facial tattooing.

Looks inspired by Māori tribal facial tattooing to me but others may see it differently.

(Listing includes an open source, permitted image of the incredible artistry of Māori tribal facial tattooing for comparison.)

The tattoo on the buckle has beautiful meandering lines, spirals, and curlicues.

It's a stunning, powerful belt buckle — brace yourself for tons of compliments and “WHERE can I get that buckle too??!!” questions!

The belt buckle is very well made popular — basically looks identical to when I bought it 20 years ago, despite heavy wear — and is a good medium weight.

I'm no expert but my best guess is this buckle is powder coated enamel on a steel base — which explains why it's still in such pristine condition.

Of course this buckle looks great on anyone but especially fantastic for
— tattoo creators and artists
— people with Māori heritage or New Zealand heritage
— American Pacific Islanders
— people with Polynesian heritage
— people with Samoan / Hawaiian / etc heritage

… And people who just fall in love with it, like moi and vous!

Approximately: 3.5” x 2.75”
