This beautiful cubic zirconia British Royal replica Lady Gabriella Windsor "Kent City of London Fringe Tiara" hairband features a cast rhodium plated piece attached to a flexible headband. The piece is totally encrusted with clear round brilliant cut CZs. It can be carefully bent to the shape of your head. The hairband has round loops on either end to easily attach to your hair style with 3/8" satin ribbon in your choice of colour. Beautiful quality, very sturdy (not flimsy at all) and amazing sparkle!
This tiara has a special connection for Gabriella: it was worn by her mother, Princess Michael of Kent, and her grandmother, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, on their wedding days. Princess Michael's wedding was held on June 30, 1978, and the Princess, who is also known as Marie Christine, wore the tiara to a ball that was held after her wedding ceremony, rather than to the entire affair. The Kent City of London Fringe tiara was originally given to Marie Christine's mother-in-law, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, by the city of London on her wedding day in 1934. Eventually, Marina's son Prince Michael inherited the tiara when she died in 1968.

Measurements: 13-1/2" L from end to end x 1-3/4" H in front centre
All pieces are clear CZ.
Why cubic zirconia? CZ is hard, optically flawless, usually colorless and is available in a variety of different colors. Because of its durability, and close visual likeness to diamond, synthetic CZ has remained the most gemologically and economically important competitor for diamonds since 1976.
