Ceramic popular Platter, Hand Painted Serving Platter

This unique medium size platter is great for serving cakes, cheese, fruit and crackers or even a roast for that special occasion.

COLOUR - Platter is White.
Blue and Yellow Flowers; Fall Grass Colour; Redish Pink Mushrooms.

The tray is food safe and be can be washed, even in soap and water. They say you can wash in the dishwasher, but I wouldn't. Treat it like you would any fine china.

I bought the tray which is a white China of Everyday Basics. I turned this basic platter into a one of a kind piece of art by hand painting the wild woodland mushrooms and grass on it using porcelain or china paint. I enhanced the mushroom scene with dainty blue and yellow flowers on it. It was then fired or baked in a low fire kiln of 1800 degrees. I applied a second coat of China paint to add more detail and to deepen the colour. I fired it again in my electric kiln to melt the porcelain paint into the platter.

I enjoy making my pottery in my basement studio in central Canada not far from Lake Huron, one of the Great Lakes.
