Product code: Gorgeous Large Vintage Orchid Brooch with Orange, Amber, Green popular Enamel and Small Metal Accents

*Please note - Some of the enamel has flaked off in a few small places, also a few of the tiny metal accents are missing but they are hard to see

Even with some flaking enamel this beautiful orchid (or is it a lily?) brooch is such an eye-catcher. To me it looks more antique than vintage. The middle filament/stamen section is moveable (on purpose). On the back is stamped "800" plus a stamp that I can't identify (see pics).

Width - 3" at widest point

Length - 3 1/2"

If you are interested in a vintage item, please examine the photographs carefully and feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I'll do my best to answer them, though I am not a professional jewelry dealer or appraiser.

For questions regarding the cost of repairing and/or cleaning any of the jewelry or purses, I would suggest contacting your local jeweler for his or her opinion. I am listing the jewelry and purses as I find them. I am not making any attempt to clean or repair any of the vintage items.

This item came from an estate in California.

The collector was a woman with a great eye for quality and a considerable knowledge of costume jewelry and of the jewelers who created it.

I believe she was doing her collecting mostly from the 1960's through the 1980's, primarily from small antique shops in California.

The purses range from early 20th century through the 1980s and ‘90s. And while some of the jewelry appears to be late 19th or early 20th century, most of the collection is from the 1940's through the 1960's, much of which is signed.

I will do my very best to give an accurate description of each purse and each piece of jewelry, noting any scratches, flaws, tears and stains that I see. That said, vintage items by their very nature have been around awhile and will invariably show some natural signs of wear and age. It's part of their beauty and their charm, in my opinion.

If you are unhappy with a purchase for any reason please let me know and I feel sure we can get something worked out. I want you to be happy with your new treasure.

*Please note, in order to receive a refund for an item, it must be returned within two weeks of you receiving it in the mail and it must also be returned in exactly the same condition as when you received it.

Thanks so much!
Ann

All of the purses and vintage costume jewelry listed (or soon to be listed, beginning in July 2017) here on my Etsy shop came from a single estate in California.
