Signed Coro Floral Bouquet Enamels Over Pot Metals Earlier Piece Stunning Example In Excellent Condition!

ITEM: An exceptional brooch by any standard, this signed Coro Floral Bouquet is simply outstanding. Dating to the 40s, executed in pot metals, the tiny blooms delicately painted in kiln fused enamels. Stem and leaves are also enameled and in the middle of each and every flower sits a tiny, twinkling clear rhinestone. This is probably one of, if not the best condition I've had the good fortune to handle in all my years of doing so. The surface is original, not a repaint. The colors are very well realized, the craftsmanship is really top notch! The little flowers are done in pink, blue and purple, variegated. A big, baby blue ribbon tied around the stems, forming the bouquet. The signature is raised, Coro, in fancy script. No copyright or pat. pend. marks. The construction is a molded pot metal, cast and finished in a silver tone. The two parts, floral set up and stem set up, are riveted together creating a tiered effect with leaves layered over too of the flowers. I'm looking at the rhinestones and they all look original as well! I see no missing stones, no dead stones, no off cut sizes and absolutely no signs of replacement or repair anywhere. This was clearly a dearly beloved treasure, stored with care and consideration. The colors may be very slightly lighter but not by much. It was not left in the sun for sure. Of course, there are mild wear patterns noted in my condition report, however I maintain my assessment regarding just how clean this is! Coro patent website shows this design was filed for patent protection by Adolf Katz in January 1942. A fantastic piece of early Coro, perfect for springtime, an excellent choice for any collection out there, signed, sealed and soon to be delivered, it could be yours! How sweet it is!

SIZE: A large and lovely brooch, measuring roughly 4” tall by 1 3/4” across. (+/-).

CONDITION: In very good vintage condition showing minimal wear apparent. Clearly, this brooch was stored properly, kept out of direct light and dry. The tiny paste stones that are set into the middles of each bloom are present and accounted for. I see no loose or missing stones and no signs of replacement or repair. Lively and full of sparkle. The enamels show very minor wear apparent. Minimal wear along outer edges near bottom leaves and bow. I see no outright loss of surface. No flaking or peeling, cracking or crazing. Just a couple of minuscule flea bites as mentioned previously. The silvery pot metals show aged appropriate patina, darker in recessed areas. Patina is a natural process for oxidation over time and is not the same as metal fatigue or deterioration. I see no rust or verdigris. The sturdy, built in pin back is intact and functional. A roller clasp works as intended. The signature is legible and looks correct for the era; a raised Coro in script. No other marks noted. About as clean as I've seen, just a fantastic piece of costume jewelry! I always recommend using your zoom feature to see if it meets your own criteria. Our ideal ratings may differ. Cheers!
