Lovers popular Trinket Box

Hand painted lovers frolic in a pastoral setting on this enchanting trinket box. Marked FBS Germany. Frielander Buying Service was an import company based in New York City on 5th Avenue. The company imported art and collectables from popular all over Europe, but pieces marked Germany are rare and date the object to the early 20's. When opened, the box has hand painted floral motifs and a mirror inside the lid. The mirror has signs of age, creating a timeless appeal. The brass closure, hinge and frame are in perfect shape with characteristic patina.
