Eva Zeisel designed the Town and County line for Red Wing Pottery in 1947 featured Eva Zeisel's organic, free form style and bright bold colors with its rounded amoeba shapes, tilted plates and bowls. The original colors of this line were Sand, Peach, White, Dusk Blue, Sand, Metallic Brown, Chartreuse and Rust. In 1949 Red Wing discontinued the Sand and Peach and replaced those colors with Forest Green and Grey. The original Town and Country line was popular unmarked and discontinued in 1956. Interest in Eva Zeisel's designs in the 1990's, lead to Later lead to the revival of the Town and Country design productions. These later reproductions in the 1990's, are marked so are easily distinguishable from the original midcentury pieces listed at MyRetroRecollections.
