The roof on this house is removable so you can put some sacred or special items inside. The glazes are fired on this piece to a temperature of 1971 degrees. The inside has a glossy mottled glaze surface that shows some of the red clay used to build this piece. The out side surface of this piece is created with textured clay then under glazes are applied and fired onto the piece. I also use some oxide washes that are fired onto the piece to enhance the texture. Some textured glazes are also used. Each one is one of a kind. I work intuitively on each piece.
