Archival Giclee print of Prince Purple Rain Day of the Dead tribute painting. I painted this upon hearing of his passing. Day of the Dead is about helping people deal with grief. Painting the painting was certainly healing for me and when I posted the image the following day, it was shared by hundreds of people and I received so many messages of support. It felt good to help others deal with his death through art. It was a significant moment for me to feel first hand the power of our coming together over an image to mourn and grieve.
